My Daily Routine & tips to start your day!

Hey! Thank you coming here to read the blog!

I follow the below things that I would like to share with you!

I understand it doesn't go well for all, however, it may motivate you to form your own timetable and list of activities that you can carry on during your day.

When we multi-task especially when one has a family to care for, it can take a toll over our health and mental well-being.

(I usually multi-task between work, studies, side hustle, hobbies & courses that I always like to take up. I can't give up on any! Very difficult!)

Here are some tips that I follow since few years now and still going:
  • Mind & Body: I try to give time for exercise & meditation, even if its just 10 mins which I know is not justice. For me it is the biggest achievement. Hence, I don't fall into word trap created by others and create my own guidelines. On top of it, its necessary to take control over the gushing mind to make it calm & peaceful using Meditation.

  • Cooking: I cut down on cooking time. I manage to include everything most healthy and mostly that can be merged into single or max 2 recipes per day. Instead of going for a traditional full plate diet which will consume most of my precious time & still may not give adequate nutrition. By including smaller menus full of sprouts, lentils, greens, dry-fruits, high on proteins & carbs, I just don't concentrate on the meal size but its nutritive value. Also reducing this time in cooking multiple items, saves me a lot of energy & time for other tasks. Replacing the items like Sugar with jaggery, Oily fried items with Roasted Baked items, Bakery items like Breads with Simplest Dosas with ready Flour available in the market... can help a long way.

  • 10 min Study: Even though its 10 or 15 mins, I make sure I study daily, make notes, write them or stick them around the house to read them anytime I feel. Morning time is the Maximum memory time. Smallest time spent for studying in the morning, can help the most during exams, rather than overnight studies when brain is tired. its much better than a last minute study concept, gives bit of relaxation time during exam as your were still studying even though for shorter duration.

  • Reading Time: A valuable book teaches you lessons of life and immense knowledge on various subjects. I like to choose a book and start it on Kindle (which I am a huge fan of). I read only few lines or a page daily, or max 2 pages of a Book! Imagine! just 2 pages :( But that's more than enough for me and its much better than nothing at all.

  • 7.30 AM Snackfast: Breakfast between 8.30AM - 10.30 AM. Yes! Because you haven't yet prepared it! However you have started the machine! Your body! Then how will the car run without the fuel? Break your Breakfast into Snackfast at 7.30am and Main Breakfast at 9.00AM. It includes a ready to eat snack & NOT the ones which need to be cooked. A Quick healthy snack can include, Oatmeal, Oat biscuits, Wheat biscuits, Dates, Toast, along with a cup of cold milk or warm water - anything of your choice. I always choose to go for: 2 or 3 Oat biscuits/Parle-G + 3-4 Dates/Almonds + 1 Toast + Warm Water/Milk. It has to be sharp at 7.30 or even before is good! Its exactly within half an hour of getting out of the bed.

  • Develop a Habit of Waking up Early: I have worked hard towards this to achieve a morning time from once 8.00Am to now 6.30Am. I am still working to get it close to 5:45 or 6:00. However for that, I need to sleep within stipulated time to get a good sleep. Not just waking up is important, but completing your sleep also is very crucial for your body and mind to function.

  • Sleeping on time: In order to wake up at 6.30am I need to sleep on time. I sleep around 11.30pm. However that's dead sleep and that is why I may feel fresh. But if you sleep so late and are unable to wakeup fresh that itself mean you aren't sleeping well full 6-8 hours. You might be waking up in between or tossing around for long time before actually sleeping off. Sometimes, a break from the routine is okay! However it shouldn't become a habit to sleep late.

  • Vitamins, Calcium & Other health Supplements: I always have them, and make sure on time in the day to help me stay healthy even during rigorous routine. I tend to choose ayurvedic options. Watch the 'Exam Prep' video for details like how to prepare your body & mind for an intensive change during exam duration. Link - Are you Exam Ready?

Hope you have some ideas on your mind now going forward!
